The curving sewer section is one of the harder parts since it is directly vulnerable to an MG42 overlooking the whole tunnel. If you haven't destroyed three ladders when you locate the curving sewer section, you've missed ladders near where you dropped into the stage. The fourth of five ladders is seen just behind the nest.
